There seems to be an issue after a few hours the DNS stops working, however if I use the DNS of our main router (WAN) that works fine.
Is there any way to change this in the DHCP options?

What actually happens when "the DNS stops working"?
The WNR2200 dates from 2010. According to Netgear's manual for this device, not always the most reliable source of information, the LAN and WAN ports support only 10BASE-T or 100BASE-TX. That makes it slower than many newer internet services and most modern network hardware.
It does not support 5 GHz wifi.
