WPS function times out in seconds rather than 2 minutes

WPS procedure has timed out.
Failed to add a wireless client to the network in 2 Minutes

Whenever I try to use the soft WPS button in the Advanced Tab it times out in SECONDS rather than the 2 minutes it SAYS it timed out in. Here's what it reports.

 

I checked the firmware update and it says it doesn't need one.

    What throws up this message? I ask because WPS is a two-way thing.

      My device can WPS just fine to OTHER Netgear routers (both are unique models), but when I try to use the soft WPS button on my R6250 with my device in WPS mode it times out immediately!
