this doesn't make much sense. saying 2.4/5ghz and wired doesn't work but then saying 2.4ghz works fine on both ends (wifi/wired). that's not how it works. 

Are you able to access the routers gui through the browser?

I meant 2.4ghz works just fine on both ends (WiFi or wired) 5ghz doesn't work at all including wired connection. I keep getting "Authentication error occurred" Can l access "gui?" Yes l can.

    If its new, I'd return/exchange it.
