Hi I bought this hooked it all up and it says I can't connect to internet . Is this because my home router is still hooked up? I see my original router and the nighthawk. When I click on nighthawk it...

Swell. What, exactly, did you "hook up" to what, exactly? (Hint: If
a device has different types of ports, then "connected to device" is not
enough detail.)

Has your (unspecified) "my home router" a maker and model number?
What, exactly, did you "hook up" to what, exactly?
Has your (unspecified) "the nighthawk" a model number? Look for
"Model" on the product label.

Does that mean that you're using some Nighthawk app? I'd suggest
using a web browser, instead.
