AC1200 Running at half Speed
My new Netgear R6230 is running at half speed. I have fiber internet 100 Mbps which always tests between 98 and 102 Mbps. The very best I have seen on my wifi using speedtest.net is 50Mbps tested with a tablet or Windows 10 laptop sitting right next to wifi. Router is directly connected with ethernet cable from modem. Firmware is current. I'm using 5ghz setting band.
Question, Is half the 100 Mbps all I should expect?
Thanks in advance
Issued Resolved.......Spoke with NETGEAR support, they had me change channels from "auto" to 9 for 2.4 ghz and /153 for 5ghz band now running at full 100Mbps.

What firmware version do you have on the device?
A number is more useful than "the latest". (It may not be by the time people read this.) There can also be newer versions, or "hot fixes", that do not show up if you check for new firmware in the browser interface.
It might also help if you told people what the modem is in front of this router. The model number could be useful. Is it, by any chance, also a router, with a set of LAN ports on the back?- Robert19Tutor
Firmware version is V1.1.0. 86_ 1.0.1
Modem supplied by internet company is a Comtrend WR-6891U
Thanks

Really? This?
Doesn't even look like a modem.
