Ac1600 c6250 connecting with directtv

I need to know if I can connect this router with Direct tv

       A cable modem+router with DIRECTV, the satellite service?  As a
    router?  I doubt it.

     

       If I really wanted to know, then I might ask the folks at DIRECTV.
