the R7000P only supports 20/40hz for the 2.4ghz channel.
What firmware is on the router?
What gateway/modem is it connected to?
what issue do you run into during setup?
What camera is it?
when you're setting it up, is your phone connected to 2.4ghz?
What 2.4ghz channel are you using on the router?

Yes phone is on 2.4, have the 5g turned off on router and forgotten on phone, the firmware I do really know but it does have latest updates per the genine.the camera I using is a reolink argus eco. The problem I run into is when adding the camera after factory reset and deleting from app, when adding the camera I get to the connecting to router it tries for about a minute the says wifi connection failed

Log into the router through the browser. The status page should have the firmware.
Plus you can check which channel you're using for 2.4ghz to broadcast on.
also, check the ssid/password. make sure there isn't any special characters/spaces in the ssid/password.
I've seen IoT devices with issues using them.
- Mikecc419Feb 18, 2021AspirantI have tried the reolink suggested channels 1, 6 and 11 and yes have checked passwords for characters, what firmware should I be looking for, the latest version or what.
Thanks for your input - plemansFeb 18, 2021Guru - Experienced User
The reason I ask is since netgear added armor to the R7000P, there's been a few devices with issues.
The lastest version is 1.3.2.134
the one I usually recommend if people are having issues is 1.3.0.20
any firmware changes I recommend be done over a hardwired connection followed by a factory reset and a clean install (not using a backup config)
