AC2400 No Wifi After Restart
Whenever I have to reboot my router, all of my devices that connect via wifi have trouble reconnecting. Sometimes the wifi will come back, but most of the time it does not. I usually have to restore ...

Modem is eu2251. Almost positive it isn’t a 2-in-1. They originally gave me a router as well when they installed but I returned their router to use this one. Their modem only has extra voice ports, no lan.

Looks like you are right is you mean the Spectrum eu2251.
Your previously said:
I had to do a factory reset and put my SSID/PW back in and now I'm good again.
Does that mean the probe is fixed?
Thanks to the erroneous boilerplate intervention we never got into diagnosing what might be going on at your end. For example, we don't know if the router is the issue or the devices "that connect via wifi have trouble reconnecting".
- bbombasseiNov 21, 2023AspirantYeah the problem is fixed for now, unfortunately I can’t wait to see what was wrong and a factory reset tends to fix the issue. I just dont see what goes wrong when I reset the router and it makes all the wifi devices not able to connect. For example on my phone the ssid is there and it tries to connect to it but it never gets a connection, just spins. Then i have to turn off wifi on my phone and use cell in order to use the internet until i factory reset the router. Sometimes when i unplug the router a 2nd time and plug it back in, the wifi devices will reconnect. Then sometimes they still wont, which usually leads to me having to factory reset again, very frustrating and doesnt make any sense to me.

That includes things like your SSID and the wifi passwords.
You say "makes all the wifi devices not able to connect", but it is hard to work out what is going on without more details about what happens at your end, what the phones say when you try to connect. Are you sure that this isn't down to the devices rather than the router?
It is easy to shout "router" when the wifi plays up, but the fault can be in the wifi clients. One way to test this is to tell the wifi clients – phones and the like – to forget their connections to the router and then to recreate the connection from scratch.
When you do have to reset the router, remember that you can always create a backup of the settings before hand and restore that after you press the reset button.
Remember, when playing around with your network, it is important to do things in the right order.
As this is a router, there is probably a modem sitting in front of it. You need to get the devices to forget any inherited settings. Among other things, that means rebooting the network.
Power cuts usually take out both the modem and the router on a network. When the power comes back on, they may start up in the wrong order, with the router starting before the modem is ready. That means that they get confused about which is in charge.
It may help to reboot the whole network in the right order.
Be sure to restart your network in this sequence:- Turn off and unplug modem.
- Turn off router and computers.
- Plug in and turn on modem. Wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on the router and wait 2 minutes for it to connect.
- Turn on computers and rest of network.

Well, the power just flickered and the same thing happened again. Tried turning off modem and router, then turning on modem and waiting 2 minutes, then turning on router and waiting 2 minutes. Ethernet connection returns to primary computer, all other wifi devices fail to connect. Then I tried turning off just the router with the button on the back and turning it back on, still no wifi. Then I tried changing some wifi settings on the router webpage and applying those settings, still no wifi. Then I tried restoring from the backup I took immediately after restoring the router to default settings. Still no wifi. Now I'm about to reset the router back to default settings again and it will most likely fix my issue. Going to update this post as soon as it's done.

Oh well, bang goes that theory.
If this is a frequent event, have you thought of installing a "UPS"?
You talk of a "flicker", which suggests that it isn't a complete shutdown, so you might not need something that tries to power the whole house for hours.

So, the only thing that 100% fixes the issue is doing a factory reset. Really annoying and unfortunate but it must be the unit. Nothing else makes sense. I haven't thought about getting a UPS but I would probably just upgrade the router at this point. Really frustrating.

Sadly, I have to agree.

You could try older firmware, just in case it was a single buggy one.
