Access my router from my phone
Hi! Trying to setup my new Frameo wi-fi digital photo frame but the wi-fi shows status of 'scanning'. From all my research and head-scratching, I believe it is due to router security setting of WEP...

I successfully changed WEP to WPA2 and also upgraded the router firmware (I'm sure it was very outdated). I had to remove the router from my frameo wi-fi setup and add it back. All is fine now; Frameo is working and we have uploaded photos. Lastly, I am going to investigate if I should change the router mode from 54mbps to 150mbps or 300mbps. Thanks everyone!

Never mind! I got logged in. Just realized I was using my Wi-Fi password, which is different than my router password. Thanks for all input, and sorry for heading down the wrong path. John.

That's good. You could have cut to the chase by reading the manual and following the instructions you were given earlier.
You didn't get the answers you wanted because you were asking an impossible question that has no answer.
I step in now only to add another caution.
I need to login to my WNR2000v3 router to change the security setting from WEP to WPA2.Do not waste time trying to do that now that you have found your way into the router.
Again, reading the manual will explain why you are barking up the wrong tree.

A Web search for terms like
WEP WPA
should find any number of recommendations to avoid WEP these days. One

As always, beware of free advice from over-confident "experts".
