When you are following the instructions from plemans you can make life easier for future management by fixing the IP address on your access point. Then, whenever you want to get into the GUI you just aim a browser at that address.

Check point 5, "Select AP Mode" and note that you don't need "advanced network experience", just the ability to use a browser.

Hello, I connected my AC1900 R7000 router with an ethernet cable to the modem-router. The R7000 is now working weirdly by cutting off by time to time. How can I get it to have a more stable connection? Thank you
