After years of NoIP and mynetgear.com they are randomly expiring now
Both of my mynetgear.com hostnames with NoIP are expiring now, after years of them not. It seems somehow they were switched to the 30 day expiration now. My understanding is the partnership between Netgear and NoIP is still valid. Has anything changed with this partnership, and is anyone else having this issue?
I’ve already opened a ticket with NoIP and am awaiting a response but figured I will post here as well.

- mike406ApprenticeJust got the reply from NoIP support. They said that the contract between them and Netgear has changed and the mynetgear.com domains are now subjected to the 30 day expiration. However the agent says you can use a discount code for their paid service. What a joke. Very unacceptable business practices here, giving no notice to customers.

I've started getting those 30-day warnings.
Looks like Netgear isn't prepared to pay for the free service, or NoIP wants to charge too much. Maybe both.
- mike406ApprenticeWell I guess it’s good for me then that I use Tomato firmware so I will switch to another provider, maybe Duck DNS
