My Mistake!
What modem/gateway do you have? ZHONE ? What info from the modem do you need?
What firmware is on the router? V1.4.1.66_1.3.26
What actual router do you have? AC3000 is a s peed, not a model. : R7900P
As you may have gathered, I'm a bit of an idiot when it comes to this, making this a much bigger problem than it should be, lol. I appreciate your efforts to help me get this working!

zhone? Do you have a model number of it?
Reason I'm asking is some devices have issues when you're running a double nat. that's 2 routers in router mode on a network.

Many ISP supplied modem/gateways have an integrated router.
So just trying to establish if that could be the issue.

On the bottom of the unit it shows
Model: ZNID-GPON-2424A-NA REV: N1
GPON ONT. INDOOR.l 2 POTS

That model looks like it has its own integrated router as well as ONT gateway.
options? Only use 1.
1. Disable its router features. Your best bet for this is to contact the isp for help with it as they're going to be more familar with its settings/features. FYI, disabling its wifi doesn't disable its routing functions.
2. Put the Netgears IP address into the Zhone's DMZ.
3. Leave the Zhone in routing mode and place the netgear in access point mode. This leaves the zhone in control. You'd then either want to disable the zhones wireless or just make sure the zhone and the netgear are using different wifi channels to prevent interference.
