You can attach another router to that to achieve most of your goals.
If its a netgear device, you'd want access point mode. Bridge mode in the routers means it uses the routers wireless connection to connect back to the primary router.
In AP mode, you'd simply connect it and seutp your device. You'd have wireless access and the ethernet ports would still work fine.
But the "mesh" option wouldn't be there. the only current devices that support full mesh mode with a hardwired backhaul is the orbi series or the MK60/80 series.
