Auto Update?
Does Netgear update automatically new versions? I have a R7000 and received a notice for a firmware update. Are these not done automatically?
It checks to see if there is an update available. Does not acutally update the router unless you select Update in the UI. User interactaion is needed and recommended. A wired PC should always be used when updating FW.

- Thank you. I noticed this was possible although I'm not finding the UI location. I apologize if it's obvious.
Log into the routers web page and you can go to Advanced tab, Adminstration, FW update section. Maybe different on your model router. I have a R7800.
