Have you tried simple alphanumeric strings for both the SSID and the pass-code? Make sure to use no spaces, punctuation, or special characters for either.
- YerffejnuarbFeb 10, 2023AspirantI’m trying pretty hard to maintain my original SSID and passcode so that I don’t have to reconnect the several dozen misc things I had previously connected to it (smart home stuff, media players, cameras, etc). Worst case scenario I just use a different SSID that works just fine. Just mystifying me on why I can set it to what I had before I did the factory reset.

Minimum number of characters or etc. Occasionally the SSID and pass-code requirements on the router do not match up with the requirements on iOT devices or vice versa.
