Can I connect Nighthawk R7900 as an access point to Orbi mesh satellite (not the base)
I have a Nighthawk R7900P. I now acquired the Orbi WiFi6 (RBK852) with base and satellite. I still have a section of the house that does not get a good signal. I wonder if I can connect the Nighthawk...
Thank you. That certainly clears it up. I was also thinking of connecting the satellite via a cable to improve the backhaul. And then connect the Nighthawk to it as AP.
Can you put it in access point mode and connect it to the orbi?
Sure.
does it matter if you connect it to the router or the satellites?
Not really. You might have better speed through the router if the backhaul between router----satellites isn't that great.
But if its got a good connection, you should be fine.
