The M5 does have an ethernet port to contect it to the RAX.
A couple issues through.
1. the RAX doesn't support dual wan/failover. So you'd have to manually switch it in the settings to the M5 for internet whenever you needed to connect it up.
2. the M5 and the RAX both run by default in router mode. When wired together, it creates a double nat. You could either put the M5 in passthrough mode or you could put the RAX in access point mode.
the M5 does have a "data offloading" option.
It'd allow you to wire it into the RAX and the M5 would use the RAX for data. Then if the primary modem drops, you could just connect to the M5's wifi and use that.
