cannot access my nighthawk router after changing xfinity password
I changed my wifi password with my Xfinity modem today. I am using my nighthawk router as an extender. I thought I had to update the password on my nighthawk to this new one though I am not sure this is necessary . I went to login to my nighthawk on the app but I get a " wifi not detected" message. I then tried to login on my pc using routerlogin.net and also the 192.168.0.1 but neither worked. First of all do I even need to do anything to my router if I simply changed my Xfinity wifi password? If yes, how can I access the admin panel on my router? Thanks for any help.

did you setup the R6700 as an access point? Because it doesn't have an extender mode.
If you did, great, log into your router from xfinity and check the connected devices page for the IP address of the R6700.
If you didn't, you're in a double nat and probably on a different subnet when connecting to the r6700 vs xfinity device. Easiest option is to disconnect the r6700 form the xfinity device, connect to the r6700, log into it, and then change it to AP mode.
