cannot close ports 21 and 443 on r7000 router
my nighthawk r7000 router is running firmware v1.0.6.28_1.1.83 and i am comcerned with the security of my network since ports 21 (ftp) and 443 (https) are both always opened for exploits. these resul...
AWESOME! that did it!
just down graded to firmware v1.0.5.64_1.188
rebooted unit and wah-lah...port 21 (FTP) is closed to shields up port scanner.

port 21 is still open even after disabling ftp and https in readyshare usb functions.
Do you have UPnP enabled? If so, disable it. Reboot the router.
UPnP is not turned on, and port 21 is still open.
will try rebooting again.
