Cannot disable port scan and dos protection . WHY

Nighthawk MR60 mesh system is the model, cannot even click that option on the model prompt unless its called something I am not aware of. 
 

Under the advanced settings in the WAN setup tab the first option is a check box to disable or enable dos and port scan protection. unchecked meaning enabled checked meaning disabled. I have clicked the box to disable it 100 times and it will not check the box to disable the setting. Stays unchecked and no amount of settings I have altered allow me to click it. WHY

    Perhaps because this isn't the right place for that device.
