I wanted to use this as a range extender. I have a wifi router but its range is very less in my room. I wanted to extended its range using this router so I would get better signals in my room

you shouldn't be using repeaters. They cut bandwidth in half. Set your second router in access point mode

This implies the connection from the primary router to the access point requires a network cable installation. However, this is one of the best investments ever!
