Cannot log in iOS app after firmware update

Updated to the latest firmware using the iOS app. Never had a problem doing this before. Now it won't let me access it due to some login issue.
What I have tried so far: completely changed the password (using routerlogin.net)(successfully relogged there so that's not the issue)
rebooted the machine
even uninstalled app completely and also turned off faceID
I am at loss...
