Can't disable remote access to web interface of Netgear r7000
If I type my external ip addess, I can access Netgear's web interface. If i go to Advanced -> Advanced Setup -> Remote management , I have "Turn Remote Management On" unticked. Is there a way...

This should be sufficient to disallow the access to the Web UI on the Internet/WAN Interface.
Router is operating in router mode, connected to the Internet with the Internet/WAN port and is not located somewhere behind a different router and some port forwarding does grant the access to the LAN interface?
What firmware version are we facing here?
Done a factory reset?
If true, this reads like yet another brilliant Netgear "feature" implementation, and lack of firmware PQA Christian_R

It was my bad after all because I was testing this from withing my network. If I try to connect from my phone using cellular data, I can't connect.

"If you're testing from inside your LAN, then the "NAT loopback"
feature of the R7000 could make it appear that a request to the
WAN/Internet IP address of the R7000 will get a response, but the result
from the outside world could be quite different."
