Can't install readyshare printer on new Windows 10 machine
As the title says, I'm working with a R6300v2 wifi router. It works just fine on my old Windows 7 machine. Yes, it's running the latest firmware.
I got a new laptop that's running Windows 10 and I can't install the USB printer plugged in to the back of the router.
There are no USB conflicts (already fixed THAT one). Yes, I already power cycled everything.
The readyshare/USB control center app shows that the printer is connected. When the printer goes to standby mode, it shows "Waiting to connect", but the "Connect" button on the app works, and when I click it, the app shows "Manuaclly connected by..."
In control panel, under devices and printers, I don't see it under devices or printers. Under "Unspecified", I see "WAN Connection Device". Double clicking that reveals it to be my router. I also see "USB Printing Support". Double clicking that shows a generic USB Printing Support driver, and my printer, model number and all, but that's as far as I can go to find my printer.
There's no driver configuration I can do there. I've tried unplugging and re-plugging, but plug and pray isn't helping. I can't manually install the driver because apparently it's built in to my local windows driver libraries.
The little bit of help I could find mentioned enabling SMB. I did that, rebooted, and still got nothing.
Help!
