Changing beacon Interval value and DTIM value

Question

Hi,&nbsp;I am using R8000P with latest firmware. I am trying to change Beacon interval value to 50 and DTIM to 3. But once I change and click on apply button. After restart value is back to normal 200 and 2. Why?&nbsp;Can't I change those value?

What are you trying to achieve by making those changes?

Start with the problem you want to fix rather than your idea of possible solutions. There may be other ways of reaching your destination.
&nbsp;
By the way, from the manuals it seems that those are not settings for routers. A few firewalls and ancient access points maybe, but router, no.

There is an option to change DTIM and beacon value which I can not change. I want to experiment it with something I do not want to disclose. But everytime I change it to something it goes back to default values why? If it can't be changed why give such an option?

These are hidden pages, used by devs and not intended for regular users. They're there to test things out, not permanently change values. There's a reason why they're hidden!

I have seen this behaviour is other communities as well... whenever a genuine concern is raised there are ppl always saying why u need to do this and that rather than presenting a solution.&nbsp; Now no one will tell me if I can change it temporarily rather than permanently coz u can't save those change on the specific page at all.&nbsp;changing DTIM and beacon value is not out of the world thing. It is tried and testing way of changing few wireless qualities related thing. But as netgear router is not allowing those things to change even if presenting the option ppl here start defending with different argument.&nbsp;=&gt; I have utmost respect for genuine people who genuinely help others in communities.&nbsp;&nbsp;
