Your desciption wasn't very clear.
Are you trying to use a coaxial run as a ethernet run? If so, you could look into moca adapters. (ethernet over coax)

which provides Ethernet connections for your Internet service? If so,
then a cable modem like a CM400 woud be generally useless to you, withor without any kind of adapters.

be sure.MoCA adapters are useful in a situation where you have a co-axial
cable run, but you wish that you had an Ethernet cable run between the
same points. If you do _not_ have a co-axial cable run, and your only
co-axial thing is the CM400, then you don't want MoCA adapters.
