computer does not see USB drive connected to XR500
There are 5 windows 10 machines on home network. All 5 were set up the same.
The problem machine was working fine along with the other 4 until something catastrophic happened and I had to inst...

Gearhead support found the problem. It wasn't easy. Turns out an item in Group Policy editor needed to be turned on. SORRY, don't know what it was .. something about sharing, the remote access tech moved too fast. Once he made the edit, it works perfectly.
I want to sincerely thank EVERYONE who tried to help me. You guys are the best.

Can't see ANY pictures until a NG Moderator approves it.
However, my EDUCATED GUESS is the PC that was RESTORED had SMB 1 turned OFF. Turn it back on and I think it will solve the problem.
CONTROL PANEL => PROGRAMS AND FEATURES ==> TURN WINDOWS FEATURE ON OR OFF, scroll down to SMB 1.0, expand the selection and turn on CLIENT ONLY... Press OK... should fix it.

Thank you, Sir for the quick reply. Following your instructions, things are much improved but still have a connect problem. The problem is on a machine with W10-64 PRO. The others are W10 Home in case that is important.
When I click NETWORK in Explorer, READYSHARE is listed along with the other network devices. When I click on it it does not expand to subfolder USB_Storage ... as do the other machines, but instead give an error:
Windows cannot access \\READYSHARE
Check the spelling of the name (blah, blah, blah)
Error code 0x0070035
Troubleshooter cannot find the problem.
You should probably know when I checked the status on SMB 1.0, nothing was checked. I checked CLIENT ONLY and have now made this progress.
Looking at the OTHER machiines, I noticed this PRO machine also has a setting for SMB 3 which is/was ON, .. so I left it alone. The other machines have no such item.
Pictures provided just in case you can see them.

I'm guess again. I've got a mix of Home and Pro W10's running here, ALL are working fine.
I'm guessing the PRO is not on the SAME NETWORK NAME as the other PC's.
Open a CMD prompt on the Pro and another PC using the Windows key+R and enter CMD.
On both PC's enter "net config workstation" in the CMD prompt.
Check the line "Workstation domain" to see if they match.
Also in each run "net view". Should look like this on both PC's:
C:\>net view
Server Name Remark-------------------------------------------
\\Home PC name\\Pro PC name
\\READYSHARE readyshare
The command completed successfully.Above first two line are examples, should see ALL PC's on the LAN and READYSHARE on all PC. Don't see READYSHARE on the Pro machine, and they are the same network name, has to be something else? Report back.
