Gearhead support found the problem. It wasn't easy. Turns out an item in Group Policy editor needed to be turned on. SORRY, don't know what it was .. something about sharing, the remote access tech moved too fast. Once he made the edit, it works perfectly.
I want to sincerely thank EVERYONE who tried to help me. You guys are the best.

I'm pretty sure those are comments. Don't even this that blanks can be in Windows Share names.
See my output:
=========
C:\>net view
Server Name Remark
---------------------------------------------
\\IRV8700 Irv's 8700
\\LARAINE-XPS8500 Lar's XPS8500
\\READYSHARE readyshare
The command completed successfully.
=========
That is CUT AND PASTE output, but on the screen it looks like this:
================
C:\>net view
Server Name Remark
---------------------------------------------
\\IRV8700 Irv's 8700
\\LARAINE-XPS8500 Lar's XPS8500
\\READYSHARE readyshare
The command completed successfully.
================
I know where the Window's PC get the remarks, under the COMPUTER name property. Not sure about the READYSHARE but probably how it was set in the READYSHARE tab for Network/Device Name, I use only 'readyshare'. That is seems is picked up as the REMARK.
