your Netgear "modem" is not a modem but a router. Your ISP provided device is a modem/router combo. Connecting these two together without setting your ISP modem/router into bridge mode creates a double NAT which you should avoid
The firmware version of the R8000 can be found either in the app or the Web GUI at http://192.168.1.1
Your ISP modem/router most likely has a label on it with the device model

You're running 2 routers and creating a double NAT. Set your ISP modem/router to bridge mode if possible and use the R8000 as the router. Also, it would be useful to know the ISP modem model and firmware version on the R8000

Thanks for your respond,
I need of a procedure of how to setup,
When I set up, it just went very fast and smooth untill I see only one band which is 5Ghz,
I then down load the nighthawk app then I was be able to see other 2 bands
But then I would lost the internet connection, so I unplug the ethernet cable from the comcast modem and go back to the original setup of comcast, which is their modem/router.
I don't know where to get the info of firmware, my netgear modem is R8000, ac3200 X6
Thanks

I am having hard time to re-connect to http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1
Now I understand the double NAT, I will looking for how to disable the ISP Modem/router then re-connect my NETGEAR R8000 to and set up again
Another question, now when you disable the 'bridge' from comcast modem/router.. can I switch back if the NETGEAR router set up do not go through?
Thank you
