What firmware is on the router?

What modem/gateway is it connected to?

  • Have you looked at any logs to see if there is any hints as to what it could be? Daunting as it may be to figure out what 90% of the logs mean, it's a great troubleshooting skill to learn!

Is your router configured with several non-factory settings, or just your SSID? If it's mostly factory settings, you could always just try to factory reset it and see if the issue shows again. I know this isn't the ideal option, but sadly, it's an effective one at times.

Odd question, since it's now summer, could it be a heat issue, or do you keep it nice, cool, and dust free?

We'll need to narrow it down to one of the following three --

    Is it Environmental?

    Is it Software?

    Is it Hardware?

Once we can figure out which one it is, we can move forward with a much greater chance of at least knowing what the issue is.
