Connecting AC1900 Mesh Extender to AC1900 Router

I currently have the R7000 AC1900 Wifi Router on one end of my 2-story house, and a EX6200 AC1200 Range Extender connected to it in a detached garage, located about 120 feet from the router.  I would like to improve the wifi performance inside the house by installing a EX7000 AC1900 Mesh Extender on the side of the house opposite from the router, about 60 feet from the router.  This places the mesh extender half way between the router and the EX6200 Range extender in the detached garage.

Two main questions:

1). Can I connect both the mesh extender and range extender to the router?

2). If the answer to the the first question is yes, will I be able to maintain the same SSID (network names) inside the house, on the router and mesh extender?  I realize the network names in the detached garage will still have the EXT names, which is not a problem.

My main objective is to improve wifi performance in the house but retain the same network name throughout so my devices don't have change networks.  The name in the garage being different is not a problem.  Thanks for any help on this issue!

    So you're planning on going:

    EX6200<--------router------>ex7000

    Is that correct?

    If so, it potentially can work. I'm impressed the EX6200 is connecting in a detached garage. exterior walls and that much distance makes it a bit impressive that it connects at all.

    I usually advise people who are trying to do something like that to move to an actual mesh system like a triband Orbi.

      Your are correct on my planned connection.  I spoke with a Netgear support person today, he said it should work.  I am also considering a 3 satellite Orbi AX4200 system.  Not sure I need that much horsepower, as my main users are connected via ethernet.  Also, its $115 vs. $600 for the two solutions!  Thanks for your comment.
