Connecting R7000 to Arris Surboard by cable - low wifi speeds

Thank you - I seperated thr 5 and 2.4 - phones and tablets use 5 and thermostats lights etc use 2.4.
The wifi download speeds of 70Mbps are on the 5Ghz band - 2.4 gets half of that.

What firmware version are you on?
What speeds do you get hardwired into the r7000?

Firmware version v1.0.9.88
Hardwired into R7000 gets the same speeds as wifi about 70 Mbps.
I did notice however, when going through the R7000 via cable - ie cable in and cable out - that some SPEED TEST web sites like OoklA and Xfinity gave an "this site can't be reached error message". Other siters were fine....

Might try updating to the latest firmware. Its currently on version 1.0.11.126
then do a factory reset and reinstall.

Logged into app - checked for updates - received - "No new firmware is available.
I rebboted and now firmware says - Firmware version v1.0.9.88_10.2.88
Ran speed test 73.5 Mbps....
No change
