Connecting to another router using the nighthawk

I'm renting the basement of a homeowner.  I'm using a asus network adapter to connect to his wifi.  the connection is strong, but I'm getting some microstuttering from packet loss  during gaming about every 5 seconds.

Is their a way I can use my nighthawk r7800 router as some sort of access point and instead of connecting directly to his wifi I connect to the nighthawk router which will be closer to his wifi so I'm assuming their will be a better connection.

Thank you !

If you can plug into their router, then an R7800 will work in wireless access point mode.

It will not, of course, make your Internet go faster than the service they subscribe to.

    Visit the support pages:

Read the section Use the Router as a WiFi Access Point.
