CONNECTION SETTINGS WITH 3DS AND MY NETGEAR ROUTER

What asks for the security key? That's usually the password for your wifi. Unless you have changed it, the default password is on the label on the thing.
Don't expect a lot from your old router. It dates back to 2009 and has very old technology.
