Continual password resets by Netgear

Whenever I attempt to login to the router, the password changes. I keep meticulous records. Why does Netgear continually change the passwords?

    What router do you have? 

    what firmware is on it? 

    what modem/gateway is it connected to? 

    Have you tried a different pc and/or browser?
