Danged red light!
Just bought a new Netgear AC1000 router Dec. 9, 2020. Everything is hooked up correctly and I have internet. The front of my Netgear AC1000 router has four lights. They are all green EXCEPT the 4th from the left (looks like a little planet Saturn)--it's lit up RED. Sometimes it turns green, but very seldom. Does this icon indicate connectivity? My internet provider is Beamspeed (a broadband wireless network) and my receiver is mounted on our roof. I have spoken with them and they said that since I have internet, then they can't explain why the light is red. I spoke with the router guy at Best Buy where I purchased the product and he said it could be a Beamspeed problem OR a defective unit. I'm running Windows 10. Any other input? Please keep in mind, I am a novice and techno-speak is NOT my first language. Thanks!

You have the R6080? (the ac1000 isn't a model number, its a speed)
That'd be your internet icon.
many of the wireless broadcast services already have their own integrated router with nat/dhcp configuration.
It causes a double nat and can explain why your internet icon is red.

Have you tried connecting the router in access point mode?

Yes, it is the R6080. Thank you for clarifying that. I will check back with Beamspeed and see if it is configured with the integrated router. Sure appreciate your quick reply.
