Won't connect to the server?
Or won't connect to the router?
A little unclear on what is actually happening.
what firmware is on the router?
What modem/gateway is the router connected to?

It connects to the router but not the server. I need I think to open the port forwarding thing.

Tell us in a bit more detail what is going on.
How about the other questions from plemans? In particular, what modem/gateway is the router connected to?
What are the messages that you see when you connect to the router?
I need I think to open the port forwarding thing.
What makes you think that?
Talk of "the port forwarding thing" doesn't mean much unless you know what you are doing. For that you need to ask the people who support the Nintendo switch.
This may help:

What is it? So far all we know is that you have an R7000. That's a router, not a modem.
Netgear has made dozens of modems over the years. Many are modem/routers. That makes life complicated.
Look on the back of your modem. What is the model number?
