Hello,
I have the Nighthawk R7960P and a TP-Link TC7650 modem. I do not have any Xfinity Equipment which is why they couldn’t help me when I called them.

The TP-Link looks like a modem only box.
There is no indication that I can see that the xfinitywifi is from something on your network.
You don't say where that picture comes from. A mobile phone? A PC?
From the Preferred Networks heading it looks like a wifi network that your devices could connect to. Not networks that you are transmitting.
If that is something you see on a mobile phone, then it may be a service that xfinity provides for customers to use when they are out and about. Or maybe something that you can pay for when travelling.
- ArwinHMar 11, 2024AspirantThe image is available networks coming from my PC. It shows up on my mobile phone as well.
It is a “service” that Xfinity provides to allow anyone with Xfinity to use anyone’s router without having to know that routers information.
When I called Xfinity they said they couldn’t “disable” their own service because I do not pay for one of their devices.
So, I’m here trying to figure out how to do it.- FURRYe38Mar 11, 2024Guru - Experienced User
So if you turn OFF The R7960P router, does the Xfinity SSID still appear?

Can you connect to it?
That could tell you more abut the source.
If the R7960P is the source of your local wifi, then that is where to look for the SSIDs it uses.
How do I change my NETGEAR router password or network name (SSID)? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
What happens to that SSID if you turn off the wifi from the R7960P? That's the wifi LED/Button on the top.

So, I’m here trying to figure out how to do it.The xfinitywifi SSID is not being broadcast from your R7960 Wi-Fi router unless you added it to your Wi-Fi network.
The broadcast source of the xfinitywifi SSID could be from a neighbor with an Xfinity gateway or from an Xfinity hotspot located in your neighborhood.
There is a good chance you have no control over the broadcast of that SSID. It is just part of the RF environment where you live.
Do you live in a multi-unit building?
Do you have neighbors close by?
Why is it really bothering you?
