Does keeping my R7000 router powered on 24/7 cause any damage to it?

I'm running my router always powered on(No shutdown during non usage hours) it will be powered on and running all the days/months/years, will it cause any problem are this R7000 designed for it or does it required regular or specific intervel shutdown/reboot?

  • They are built to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365/366 days a year. No need to ever power off except when doing something to it like a new firmware load. Stop and think about it. Routers, including the r7000, are placed where they are expected to be always up.
