If it doesn't work already and you expect Netgear to add it to your R8000P, you are probably out of luck. Your R8000P is from 2017.
New features that depend on new hardware don't usually appear on old models.
Two question
1. Is my router still support for hotfix and new firmwares?
2. Does any netgear product support DOH?
BTW DOH being adapted in RFC 8484 (October 2018) almost same time of your product.

Not guilty. Just another user.You can ask any fellow member who is not a GURU will tell you that it is your product (the way you defend netgear).
Why don't netgear feel the urge to be with new tech development in industry. (that is why the price of their stock is decreasing consistently in stock market)
