  You can ask any fellow member who is not a GURU will tell you that it is your product (the way you defend netgear).
  
  Why don't netgear feel the urge to be with new tech development in industry. (that is why the price of their stock is decreasing consistently in stock market)

    I have no idea what that means. I don't work for Netgear.
    
    This community is essentially a user-to-user venue to talk about technical issues, with some input from a small band of Netgear techies.
    
    Most of the answers come from fellow users who have no connection with Netgear. They just have a lot of collective experience and are familiar with the sort of problems that turn up here.
    
    If you want "official" support then you should go through the right channels.

    I am happy to complain about Netgear, and have done so many tines. But I need to have a reason. That it will not update an ageing mid-priced router with something that is probably not relevant to most users – and hasn't cropped up here as a "must have" feature – hardly justifies moaning and groaning.

    Out of interest, what would adding DOH bring to the party?
    
    What benefits would it bring?
    
    What would it let you do that you can't do now?
