downloadcenter.netgear.com appears to be down.  It's pingable but not responding to http.

    downloadcenter.netgear.com is back up.

Still down today.  This time I'm getting a 404, which means that someone restarted the http server but now the webpages are gone.  Hopefully, the Netgear folks are in the middle of doing maintenance.

    Hmm, I just downloaded the latest R7000 firmware file (1.0.5.48_1.1.79) and had no problem. I just clicked on the link from the main R7000 support page.

      There's still some funkiness.  If you click on GET MORE DOWNLOADS, it'll try to take you to downloadcenter.netgear.com and fail.

        Yeah, it is down now for me too. I must have gotten lucky (if you call it that, with all the problems being reported with 1.0.5.48_1.1.79 I am avoiding this release like the plague).
