Extending Wifi range R8000 with R7000
I'm a proud owner of the R7000 and Arlo Q (used as babycam).
The R7000 is placed behind the VDSL router (4x UTP) of my ISP as AP. The wireless function of the VDSL router is off.
Because the Arlo Q is able to connect well to the R7000 because of walls/range, I bought a R8000 to see
if it could solve the problem. Besides that, we're having more and more wireless devices around the house, so a upgrade is needed.
Unfortunately the R8000 is covering the range to the Arlo Q on the second floor.
Is it possible to setup the R7000 to extend the range of the R8000 on the second (and third) floor without using any cable?
Network Setup:
ISP Router ----------- R7000 AP -------- 10 Wireless devices
----------- TV Box
----------- TV Box
----------- NAS
Yes - with the R7000 configured to a pure wireless access point only, and connecting a LAN interface to a LAN interface of the R8000 (by powerline or a direct cable).

You might have luck using powerline adapters. I've used them for years.
