You should review this and maybe revert back to this recommended version of FW:

Same problem with my router.
Do not understand why Netgear is not capable of getting the 2.4 bandwidth working. Should be top priority.

Please tell me if you still are able to ping the devices. Do they still reply on a ping? In my case I always get a reply. No communication possible but the devices still reply on a ping. Please test while you have the problem. Try to ping a 2.4GHz device from a wired device.
