Hi All,
Please post here for any update/issue related to the latest firmware 1.0.9.18.

You should review this and maybe revert back to this recommended version of FW:

Since I've flashed Tomato a few weeks ago I've forgotten that I have a router- it's working perfectly getting dust because i do not touch it at all :-)...
Parental control works perfectly, 0 drops, strong signal - save your time and do a similar thing!

V1.0.9.18.1.2.27
Just purchased this router and updated to the latest firmware. Most of my devices worked without issue but two did have a problem that I eventually solved.
Roku 2 device was getting code 003 ( unable to resolve dns ) problems, apps not working etc.
Motorola G5S Plus Android 7.1 WiFi OK but no outside internet no-connection.
I tried everything until I decided to go to security -> access-control and 'turn on access control' 'Allow all devices to connect' Even though I am not blocking any devices just enabling this got the above devices working. I'm not sure why the default setting of not enabling access control would stop the above two devices working.

That was a good suggestion.
I enabled device access control and authorized the devices.
I then again upgraded to 1.0.9.18 and no issue raised all devices work, even the Glaxy A3 that could not navigate internet at the first attempt.
- OuinDec 25, 2017TutorNo more drop issue with version 1.0.9.20 last two days. Max speed on 2.4G 120Mbits/s and on 5G 320Mbits/s.
I will continue to report next days about this beta release. - mzguyDec 25, 2017ApprenticeThank you Ouin! Any other reports, especially of failures, are highly appreciated. I want to make a decision on replacing my router in the coming days, and cannot really test mine with the new firmware now.
- OuinDec 26, 2017TutorSorry guys, version 1.0.9.20 is not solving 2.4GHz drop. All my devices connected to 2.4GHz are disconnected and no more ping.
Netgear developer do you expect a solution next day? This situation is not acceptable! - brdoddsjrDec 26, 2017Apprentice
Still stable on the .20 Hot Fix. Almost 3 days now. Speeds are good. Android is stable.
- AtoZDec 26, 2017ApprenticeFyi, my router worked for 5 days with .18 before failure. Am hoping .20 works for all of us, but i want to see it run for 2 weeks before i get happy. Im only 12 hours on .20. Good luck.
- Retired_MemberDec 26, 2017I'm jumping consumer ship and buying enterprise/commercial gear with separate APs and Routers. I was initially very pleased with the R7000. It seemed like a stable and cost-effective purchase. However, buying two-high-end-all-in-ones is enough to buy entry level/mid-tier enterprise gear that has better support. Bye NetGear you've lost a customer forever.
