Hi All,
Please post here for any update/issue related to the latest firmware 1.0.9.18.

You should review this and maybe revert back to this recommended version of FW:

Since I've flashed Tomato a few weeks ago I've forgotten that I have a router- it's working perfectly getting dust because i do not touch it at all :-)...
Parental control works perfectly, 0 drops, strong signal - save your time and do a similar thing!

I've had to downgrade aswell due to wifi drop outs, is V1.0.7.12 the version that is stable?

I believe no version is known to be stable. That's part of the mystery here.

So add me to the list of people having consistent discconect issues with firmware 1.0.9.18.
I was rebooting the router multiple times a day.
I finally got around to downgrading to 1.0.7 as recommended on this thread and all seems stable for the past 4-5 hours.
- Diggie3Jan 02, 2018LuminaryFor users of other router models reading this thread, R7000 firmware 1.0.7.12 was built on March 3rd 2017. This seems to be the most stable.
If we assume the codebase is mostly shared across models, this means if you are having trouble you might want to look for firmware releases for your model that happened around March 2017. Be aware that downgrading may introduce security issues that were fixed in later firmwares, change product features, and remove automatic update functionality, meaning in future you will have to remember to manually update to a newer version again.
I'd like to take a moment amongst the negativity to thank Netgear engineering for allowing downgrades, which is not the case with all manufacturers, because without this ability the problem would be much worse. I hope this is kept in mind in future ;) - OuinJan 02, 2018TutorI install version V1.0.7.12 and I have drop on 2.4GHz channel :(
The only difference with this version is that the 2.4GHz come back in running after ~5 minutes without any manipulation!
It's not acceptable, but a little bit better.
Netgear guys, are you in task force?
