You should review this and maybe revert back to this recommended version of FW:

Since I've flashed Tomato a few weeks ago I've forgotten that I have a router- it's working perfectly getting dust because i do not touch it at all :-)...
Parental control works perfectly, 0 drops, strong signal - save your time and do a similar thing!

There's really not much that hasn't already been said, multiple times. Netgear could make a meaningful statement, but all that most of the rest of us could contribute would just be chatter.
- hellspawn69Jan 18, 2018GuideMy fix works. Someone who hasn't loaded custom firmware is welcome to check it out. Takes no time to make the changes I did, and mine has 0 issues dropping the 2.4GHz bands now.
Just trying to help fellow frustrated customers out since Netgear doesn't seem to be. - AlpineKid66Jan 18, 2018Guide

It is not that I wanted things to be rehashed, I was hoping that Netgear had done something with the firmware that is being tested. Was/is anything going on.
I would like to update fireware to the latest so that I can find out if that firmware will fix a different problem I have. If it dosen't, I fix it another way.
Hope the firmware is stable.
