Fios gigabit with RBR750 - conflicting speed reads
Hello,
I recently upgraded to the FIOS gigabit connection, and while the Orbi speed test picks up nearly a gig in upload/download speeds (in the app), all the other tests online seem to only pick up half that (including the Ookla test that Orbi says it was using).
I'd switched to Orbi with my last plan (500 mbps), because it just didn't make sense to pay to rent the equipment and end up paying more than it cost me to just purchase my own equipment. So, as of now, other than the Verizon modem, all other parts (router and satellites) are Orbi.
Do I need to change anything in my settings to make sure that the speed tests consistently? I tried rebooting the router, and that didn't make a difference.
Netgear has set up a community forum specifically for the Orbi AX (WiFi 6) products. Most of the people who watch that forum are more likely to have experience with Orbi AX and know how to work it better than those of us who follow this "general Orbi" forum. Might be more likely to find someone who has a solution if the question is posted there:
