Remote Management has changed to Web Services Management and it no longer works like I need it to.
For security reasons, Netgear has disabled the old style of remote management.
Why is the Remote Management feature being removed from NETGEAR routers? | Answer | NETGEAR Support
Anywhere Access does not have the same level of control.
The end goal for me is to be able to log in remotely to my router and enable port forwarding to be able to remote control devices in my house.
No can do.
There may be other tools out there that will let you achieve your goal.

michaelkenward thanks for the info. I will take a look at that link. So more or less if I want to have that feature the only thing that I can do is roll back the FW to a previous time when it was there. I feel like this might be a better solution rather than keeping the port forwarding settings on when I am not using them.

microchip8 If I do that and need to re-open, I am not able to until I am back at the web console correct? As in, there is no way to re-activate even in the Nighthawk App?
- microchip8Apr 18, 2023MasterTriggering is dynamic meaning it opens the port whenever a service starts to use it and closes it after a while if it's no longer in use. The only downside of triggering is that only one service at a time can open/trigger the port. If you have multiple services using the same port, it won't work.

Thanks to microchip8 for confirming that I am not mad.
