I finally got a chance to take the network down for a while and was able do a factory reset of the AC1900 R7000. I updated the firmware to 1.0.11.136_10.2.120 from a computer connected to the router via ethernet. So far everything is working. I will post if problems develop.

I had the router check for new firmware and it said there is nothing new đ
I also downloaded a new update for the app but still seeing the same situation. Logged in and out of the app, rebooted the router.... same.

The auto-update process for the r7000 has never worked that great.
You can manually update through. I'd recommend doing it through a hardwired connection for best results.

I recently updated my R7000 AC1900 firmware from V1.0.9.64_10.2.88 to V1.0.11.134_10.2.119. It worked for two days and then the wifi connected devices would no longer communicate with each other. The devices were all on the primary network not the guest network. The wifi speed did not make a difference. Also found the router browser interface would not work correctly sometimes. After combing the internet for hours I gave up and I went back to V1.0.9.64_10.2.88. Everything is working well now but I really would like to keep up with the latest firmware. Any help is appreciated.

Has a factory reset and setup from scratch been performed since last FW update?
What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Is Smart Connect enabled?
What channels are you using? Auto? Try Auto and 48 on 5Ghz. Or try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and 40 to 48 or 149 to 161 channel on 5Ghz.
Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many
